Project Manager - Madison WI 

Position Background

Naviant, Inc. is currently searching for a qualified and experienced PMI Certified project manager with a personal history of accomplishments and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish. Responsibilities

Project /Practice Management

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Project Accounting and Financial Management

  • Tracks and reports team hours and expenses using SalesLogix and TimeLinx CRM tools.
  • Manages project budget.
  • Work with Accounting to determine appropriate revenue recognition and timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Assist Accounting with collection issues.
  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.

Financial Management

  • Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.
  • Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.
  • Assures project legal documents are completed and signed.

Business Development

  • Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project.
  • Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.

Communication

  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
  • Holds regular status meetings with project team.
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Technical Understanding

  • Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities.
  • Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements.

Client Management

  • Manages day-to-day client interactions.
  • Sets and manages client expectations.
  • Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
  • Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

Internal Operations

  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
  • Approves team members' time and expense reports in a conscientious and timely manner.
  • Supervisor duties related to direct reports.

Background & Educational Requirements

  • Minimum five years of progressive project management experience
  • Expert Knowledge with Project Management software
  • PMI Certification
  • Possesses PM experience in one or more of these project areas; application programming, database and system design, business process improvement, and/or enterprise content management.
  • Four-Year College Degree
